Prince George Regional Correctional Centre (PGRCC) recently hosted an Indigenous Celebration to honour the culture, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples. The event featured drumming, singing, storytelling, and cultural teachings led by Elders and community partners.
Residents proudly shared their artwork and crafts, expressing their connection to culture and healing. A traditional meal was also shared, bringing everyone together in the spirit of unity, respect, and reconciliation.
Representatives from the Prince George Urban Aboriginal Justice Society (PGUAJS) spoke about the importance of community partnerships and culturally grounded programming within the centre.
PGRCC extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this meaningful event a success and remains committed to fostering reconciliation and cultural connection within its programs.
