Connected and Safe: Moving Forward with IREN’s Support

Prince George Urban Aboriginal Justice Society is excited to take the next steps toward Connected and Safe, with support from IREN. This planned project will create opportunities for young people in Prince George to learn, build confidence, and contribute their voices through workshops and shared learning activities.

What we are preparing to move forward

Our plans include youth-focused workshops, guided learning activities, and opportunities for participants to create materials that reflect what they have learned. The focus is on meaningful participation: helping young people develop knowledge and confidence while making space for their ideas and experiences.

Listening will be an important part of the work. Feedback from youth, educators, Elders, and community partners will help us understand what is working and how the activities can better support participants.

Why we are excited

Connected and Safe is an opportunity to put learning, relationships, and youth participation at the centre of community-based work. We look forward to creating space for young people to take part, share their perspectives, and see their contributions valued.
